Ondansetron (4 Mg)

Emeset-4 tablet is an antiemetic medication. It is to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and vomiting which occurs in the period after surgery.

It is also used to manage nausea and vomiting associated with gastroenteritis. However, it is crucial to use the medication strictly as directed by your doctor and adhere to the necessary precautions.

It is important to discuss with your doctor about your medical history and any other medications you are taking, while keeping him informed about occurence of any side effects.

Emeset-4 tablet is prescribed for the following conditions:

Chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting: It prevents nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy in both adults and children aged four years and older.
Radiotherapy induced nausea and vomiting:
Post-operative Nausea and vomiting: (Nausea and vomiting occurring after surgery)
Nausea and vomiting associated with Gastroenteritis

Directions for Use of Emeset 4 MG Tablet 10

Take an Emeset-4 tablet with a glass of water.
Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet, swallow it as a whole.
Avoid exceeding the dosage recommended by your doctor.

Emeset-4 tablet is administered orally.

The most common side effects of Emeset-4 tablet include:

Headache
Constipation
Tiredness/Fatigue
Drowsiness/Dizziness

Progressive Ileus and Gastric distension in post-operative patients- it can mask these symptoms which require critical monitoring in post-operative patients.
Heart failure: It may put additional strain on the heart, and its use should be carefully considered in patients with heart failure, as it could worsen their condition.

Daily Dose

Over Dose
