Chlorpheniramine (2 Mg) + Phenylephrine (5 Mg)

Flucold AF Syrup is a combination medicine that belongs to the group of medicines called antihistamines and nasal decongestants. It is used to relief symptoms of allergies and the common cold.

It also helps relieve red, watery eyes, sneezing, itchy eyes, nose and throat due to allergies, common cold, discomfort in the nose due to colds, allergies and hay fever. It is also used to remove nasal congestion and reduce pressure in the sinuses (hollow regions in the face that are normally occupied by air).

Flucold AF Syrup is used in the following conditions:

Relief in cough: Flucold AF Syrup provides relief in cough, which occurs due to throat irritation, sneezing, and running nose.
Relief from symptoms of the common cold: This syrup can also relieve nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, and post-nasal drip.
Relief from symptoms of upper respiratory allergies: The symptoms of allergic rhinitis can also be alleviated with this syrup.

Directions for Use of Flucold Af 5/2 MG Syrup 60 ML

Use the provided measuring cup or dropper to measure the correct dose of the syrup.
Take Flucold AF Syrup daily, preferably with a meal, to aid absorption.
Keep the bottle well-capped after use.
This syrup is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic patients. If you have diabetes, consult your doctor before taking this syrup.

Drug-Drug Interactions

The Flucold AF Syrup can interact with drugs, including

Antihypertensive medications such as debrisoquine, guanethidine, and reserpine. This syrup can reduce the effect of these medications.
Antidepressants such as fluoxetine, amitriptyline and paroxetine. These can increase the syrup concentration in the blood.
Antiarrhythmic medications such as quinidine and digoxin. These medications can increase the syrup concentration in the blood.
Antifungal medications such as terbinafine. It can increase the Flucold AF Syrup concentration in the blood.
Tricyclic Antidepressants such as amitriptyline. The concomitant use of this syrup with amitriptyline may increase the risk of heart side effects.
Ergot alkaloid, such as ergotamine and methysergide. Simultaneous use of this syrup with these medicines increases the risk of ergotism (a condition caused by the ingestion of ergot-contaminated grains, particularly rye).

The Flucold AF Syrup can interact with diseases, including:

Cardiovascular disorders: This syrup may increase the risk of hypotension, hypertension, irregular heartbeats, chest pain, and palpitations.
Urinary retention: This syrup can cause difficulty in urination and urinary retention.

Over Dose
