Oseltamivir (75 Mg)

Anti-viral medications like Fluvir 75 mg capsule are suitable for stopping both Influenza virus types A and B. Oseltamivir is the primary constituent of Fluvir 75 mg capsule and belongs to the neuraminidase inhibitors. It controls the spread of the flu-causing virus to spread inside the body.

The broad age spectrum and action of fluvir make it a versatile drug for colds, infections and flu. It is typically indicated in adults and children of age groups of more than two weeks. The best results are seen when the cold or flu infection is not more than two days old.

Oseltamivir is not the correct remedy in case of bacterial infections. Though it is used to treat colds and flu, it is not available as an OTC product; it is a prescription-only medicine.

Fluvir 75 mg capsule is primarily indicated for short, quick and simple types of influenza type A & B infections. The (neuraminidase) enzyme present in the virus is essential for spreading infection into the uninfected cells of the body. Fluvir medicine activity is by prevention of spreading the infection inside the body.
It is also indicated when influenza infections are spread at a community level. Prevention of influenza is also achieved by the use of Fluvir 75 mg capsule for children less than one-year-old. It is specifically indicated when there is a community spread of influenza.

Directions for Use of Fluvir 75 MG Capsule 10

Follow your pharmacist or doctor's directions for using a Fluvir 75 mg capsule. Below are the general instructions for reference.

Take the capsule with a glass of water.
Swallow the capsule as a whole, do not crush or chew it.
This medication can be taken with or without, but it is advisable to take it at a fixed time.

Fluvir 75 mg capsule, can be taken orally.

Nausea- It is a feeling of vomit without actual vomiting. Feeling nauseated is common with drugs.
Vomiting - Throwing up the stomach contents characterises vomiting. It is a common side effect of drugs which will go away soon.
Diarrhoea- Loose, watery motions characterise diarrhoea. Loss of nutrients may occur during diarrhoea.
Headache -A common side effect of many drugs is headache, which usually occurs upon long-term usage of the medicine.

Managing the Side Effects:

Nausea: A feeling of nausea can be removed by smelling a slice of lemon, having a glass of lemon juice and breathing some fresh air.
Vomiting: Vomits can be managed by drinking plenty of fluids especially more ORS solutions and juices, avoiding greasy foods, and reducing tea and coffee intake.
Diarrhoea - drink plenty of fluids, eat bland foods till recovery from diarrhoea, like bananas and avoid greasy, fried and spicy foods.
Headache: Apply a pain balm, do a light massage for the head, rest, and have a short nap.

Oseltamivir phosphate is a prodrug for the active form of oseltamivir carboxylate. The active form is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme (neuraminidase), which is present in the virus (disease-causing agent). The (neuraminidase) enzyme present in the virus is essential for spreading infection into the uninfected cells of the body. Fluvir medicine activity is by prevention of spreading the infection inside the body.

Pregnancy
