To receive the most benefit from this medicine, take it on a regular basis and at the same time(s) each day. Depending on how well it works, your dose may be increased or decreased. Do not exceed the recommended dosage, and if you miss a dose, do not take a double dose to compensate. It takes at least 48 hours for this drug to take effect. If you are still constipated after three days, consult your doctor.
