Levosiz tablets are safe when taken in recommended doses. However, some individuals may experience side effects. The side effects of the Levosiz tablet are mild and fade away on their own. The common Levosiz tablets side effects include:  

• Fatigue
• Drowsiness
• Nose and throat irritation
• Dry mouth
• Headache
• Diarrhoea
• Constipation

Managing the Side effects

• Fatigue and Drowsiness: Taking a Levosiz tablet can cause fatigue and drowsiness in some people. Try to get plenty of rest and sleep. Light physical activity such as walking or yoga may also help increase energy levels.
• Nose and Throat Irritation: Use a humidifier or inhale steam to moisturise the nasal passages and throat. Drink plenty of fluids and avoid smoking or exposure to smoke to reduce irritation.
• Dry Mouth: Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol, caffeine, and tobacco. Chewing sugar-free gum or sucking on sugar-free candy may also help stimulate saliva production and alleviate dry mouth.
• Headache: Apply a cold compress to the forehead or temples. Rest in a quiet, dark room and drink plenty of fluids to alleviate headaches.
• Diarrhoea and Constipation: Eat a high-fibre diet and drink plenty of water. Avoiding foods high in fat or sugar may also help regulate bowel movements.

Precautions

PREGNANCY

It is safe for pregnant women to take Levosiz Tablet. Before taking a Levosiz Tablet, pregnant mothers are advised to consult with their doctors. It's possible that your dose has to be adjusted.

BREASTFEEDING

Levosiz tablet is excreted in breast milk but does not harm the infant. Ensure only to take the Levosiz tablet during breastfeeding when prescribed by a doctor. Larger doses or prolonged use of Levosiz while breastfeeding may cause drowsiness and other effects in the nursing infant or decrease milk supply.

ALCOHOL

Alcohol can increase dizziness and drowsiness due to Levosiz tablets. You may experience difficulty concentrating, thinking and making a judgment. It's better to avoid alcohol while taking Levosiz tablets strictly.

LIVER

There is no evidence of Levosiz tablet's risk of liver disease. Levosiz Tablet should be taken with precaution by people who have severe liver disease or alcohol-induced liver disease. Before you start taking it, consult your doctor.

KIDNEY

It is recommended that people with kidney disease take precautions while using Levosiz Tablet. There is a possibility that the dosage of the Levosiz Tablet must be adjusted. Please talk to your doctor, however, it is not recommended for patients with severe kidney disorders to take Levosiz Tablet.

USING MACHINES AND DRIVING

Levosiz tablets may cause drowsiness and affect your ability to operate machinery or drive a vehicle. Therefore, avoiding this medication while performing attentive tasks is better.

ALLERGY

Avoid the Levosiz tablet if you are allergic to Levocetirizine. You may experience hives, rash, itching and swelling if allergic to the Levosiz tablet.

USE IN CHILDREN

Levosiz tablets should be used with caution in children. Levosiz tablet should be cautiously used in children between 6 to 12 years old with a history of seizures or epilepsy. The usual recommended daily dose for children is half a tablet once a day. Children taking the Levosiz tablet should avoid activities requiring alertness or coordination, such as biking or swimming.

USE IN OLDER PATIENTS 

Older patients may have an increased risk of drowsiness after having Levosiz tablets. Therefore, older patients should cautiously take this medicine. Additionally, older patients may be taking other medications that can interact with Levosiz tablet., So it's better to share your prescriptions with your doctor to avoid any potential drug interactions.
