• Tenacious mucus: Macbery Junior Expectorant is also effective in thick and tenacious mucus conditions. It acts as an expectorant, helping to thin and loosen the mucus, making it easier to cough up and clear from the respiratory tract.
• Wheezing: Wheezing is a respiratory symptom characterised by a high-pitched whistling sound during breathing, which can be relieved by this medication due to its bronchodilator activity. Levosalbutamol helps relax the muscles in the airways, reducing constriction and improving airflow.
• Chest congestion: Macbery Junior Expectorant can relieve chest congestion in children caused by excessive mucus accumulation in the respiratory tract. It helps in loosening and clearing the mucus, making breathing easier and relieving discomfort in the chest area.

• Shake the bottle well before use.
• Take Macbery Junior Expectorant with lukewarm water for the best results.

Dosage information

Daily dose

The recommended daily dose of Macbery Junior Expectorant is one tablespoon taken once a day, with or without food. Overdose

If you or someone else takes an excessive amount of Macbery Junior Expectorant by accident, it is essential to take immediate medical attention from your doctor or nearby hospital. Symptoms of an overdose include dizziness, nausea, vomiting, sweating, and palpitations.

Missed dose 

You may take the missed dose of Macbery Junior Expectorant as soon as you remember, but if it's almost time for the next dose, skip it and continue with your regular dosing schedule; do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

This medicine is a combination of three components and they function in the below specified manner:

• Ambroxol: It is an expectorant that helps to thin and loosen mucus in the lungs. When there is too much Nitric oxide (NO) in the airways, it can cause inflammation and make breathing difficult. Ambroxol works by blocking the effects of NO, which helps to reduce the production of excessive mucus, makes phlegm less sticky, and improves the flow of mucus in the lungs.
• Levosalbutamol: This ingredient is a bronchodilator, which helps relax and widen the muscles in the airways. Levosalbutamol works to relax the airways regardless of the trigger, protecting the narrowing of the airways. When a specific type of receptor called β2 adrenergic receptors on the muscles of the airways is activated, it triggers a series of reactions inside the cells. It leads to an increase in a compound called cyclic AMP, which causes the muscles to relax. Levosalbutamol relaxes the muscles in all parts of the airways. It also helps to prevent the release of certain substances from cells in the airways.
• Guaifenesin: It is an expectorant that helps to increase the volume and reduce the viscosity of respiratory secretions. Guaifenesin irritates certain receptors in the stomach, which triggers reflexes that cause the glands to produce a thinner and less sticky mucus. As a result, the thicker mucus blocking the small airways may be flushed out, temporarily improving breathing difficulties and shortness of breath.
