Persol AC 5 Gel 30 gm is an antibacterial drug that is primarily used to treat bacterial skin infections such as acne (pimples). Persol AC 5 Gel 30 gm is a keratolytic (removes warts, calluses), comedolytic (inhibits the growth of blemishes), and anti-inflammatory chemical component. Acne is a skin ailment that occurs when oil and dead skin cells clog the hair follicles. The Benzoyl Peroxide in Persol AC 5 Gel 30 gm fights bacteria, decreases irritation, and unplugs blocked pores. When Persol AC 5 Gel 30 gm is applied to the skin, it decomposes and releases oxygen. This oxygen serves as a bactericidal agent, killing the acne-causing bacteria Propionibacterium acnes. Persol AC 5 Gel 30 gm helps peel the skin and treat comedones by increasing the turnover rate of epithelial cells (cells that line the skin's surface) (skin-coloured, small bumps due to acne). Persol AC 5 Gel 30 gm also has a slight drying effect, which helps to remove excess oils and impurities from the skin.
