Diconal Nasal Drops 15ml

Diconal Nasal Drops 15ml is used for relieving nasal congestion (blocked nose) caused by the common cold, sinusitis, hay fever and allergic rhinitis. It is formulated with Xylometazoline Hydrochloride (0.1% w/v) and Sorbitol (2.0% w/v), providing a dual-action approach to ease breathing. Xylometazoline acts as a decongestant, narrowing the blood vessels in the nasal passages to reduce swelling and congestion, while Sorbitol acts as a moisturiser, managing nasal dryness and irritation. Diconal Nasal Drops provide quick and long-lasting relief, helping you breathe more comfortably. It is easy to use and works within minutes to reduce stuffiness.

• Xylometazoline Hydrochloride (0.1% w/v): Xylometazoline is a decongestant that works by stimulating alpha-adrenergic receptors in the blood vessels of the nasal passages. This causes the blood vessels to constrict, reducing blood flow and consequently decreasing swelling and congestion in the nasal passages. It helps in providing temporary relief from nasal congestion caused by conditions like the common cold, hay fever and sinusitis.
   
• Sorbitol Solution (70%) (2% w/v): Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol that acts as a humectant, meaning it helps retain moisture. It forms a soothing film over the nasal mucosa, managing moisture loss and providing relief from nasal dryness and irritation. Sorbitol helps moisturise the nasal passages, making breathing more comfortable and reducing the risk of further dryness or irritation when using the decongestant.
