Migraine headaches are thought to be caused by blood vessel dilation in the head. Serotonin receptor antagonist Ergacap 214mg Capsule works by preventing the transmission of pain by maintaining the level of serotonin (a chemical messenger) in the brain. It also stops the creation of a chemical messenger called pro-inflammatory neuropeptide, which is linked to migraine pain. It relies on the activation of 5-HT1D receptors to restrict blood arteries and hence relieve pain.
