Esogress-D Capsule is considered safe and effective when a doctor prescribes it. However, some people may experience mild to severe side effects. The common side effects include: 

• Headache: Occasional headaches may occur as a side effect of this capsule.
• Stomach pain: Some individuals may experience stomach pain while taking this medication
• Constipation: This capsule can lead to occasional constipation in specific individuals.
• Flatulence: Increased gas or flatulence can be a possible side effect of this capsule.
• Nausea: It may cause nausea in specific individuals as a potential side effect.

Managing the side effects

• Headache: Rest in a quiet and dark room to alleviate the headache.
• Stomach pain: Applying a heating pad or hot water bottle on the affected area may help alleviate stomach pain. Consuming small, frequent meals instead of large ones can also provide relief. 
• Constipation: Increase your fluid intake and include fibre-rich foods, such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Regular physical activity can also promote regular bowel movements. 
• Flatulence: Avoid gas-producing foods such as beans, lentils, carbonated beverages, and certain vegetables like broccoli and cabbage. 
• Nausea: Sip on clear liquids such as ginger ale, herbal tea, or clear broth. Eating small, bland meals and avoiding greasy or spicy foods may help ease nausea. 

Precautions

Pregnancy

The safety and effectiveness of Esogress-D Capsule during pregnancy have not been established. It is advisable to consult a doctor before taking the capsule during pregnancy.

Breastfeeding

It is not known whether this medicine is excreted in human milk. Consult your doctor before taking Esogress-D Capsule while breastfeeding.

Alcohol

Alcohol does not interfere with Esogress-D Capsule. However, it's best not to drink too much alcohol because drinking alcohol makes your stomach produce more acid than usual. It can irritate your stomach lining and make your symptoms worse.

Liver

Esogress-D Capsules are safe for patients with mild liver impairment. Dose adjustments may be required for patients with moderate to severe liver impairment. If you have a liver problem, consult your doctor about the dose before taking the capsule.

Kidney

Esogress-D Capsules should be cautiously used in patients with kidney disease, and dose adjustments may be required. If you have a kidney problem, consult your doctor about the dose before taking the capsule.

Using machines and driving

Esogress-D Capsule is unlikely to affect your mental or physical abilities required for using machines or driving. Avoiding any attentive task is recommended if you experience any side effects after taking the capsule.

Allergy

If you are allergic to Esomeprazole or Domperidone or any other proton pump inhibitor medicines (e.g. pantoprazole, lansoprazole, rabeprazole, omeprazole), you should not take Esogress-D capsules. The symptoms of an allergic reaction due to the capsules include rashes, swallowing or breathing problems, and swelling of your lips, face, throat, or tongue.

Use in children

Esogress-D Capsules are not intended for children.

Use in older patients

Esogress-D Capsules should be cautiously used in older patients with heart disease. Older adults may also take other medications or supplements due to medical conditions. It's better to inform your doctor before taking this capsule.

• Anticoagulant medications such as Clopidogrel and Warfarin

• Heart problems or high blood pressure medications such as Amiodarone, Dronedarone, and Quinidine
• Psychosis medications such as Haloperidol, Pimozide, and Sertindole
• Antidepressants such as Ciocitalopram and Escitalopram 
• Gastrointestinal medications such as Cisapride, Dolasetron, and Prucalopride
• Anti-allergic medications such as Mequitazine and Mizolastine
• St. John's Wort
