Glykind M Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes by lowering high blood sugar levels when diet and exercise alone are not enough.This oral antidiabetic medicine enhances insulin function, supporting better glucose control and reducing diabetes-related complications for improved overall health.

Glykind M Tablet is used to treat Type 2 diabetes mellitus, a condition where the body has trouble controlling blood sugar levels. This medicine helps lower blood sugar and is often used along with a healthy diet and exercise.

Directions for Use of Glykind M Tablet 10

Swallow the Glykind M Tablet whole with a glass of water
Do not crush or chew the tablet, as this may affect the absorption of Glykind M Tablet in the body
Take the Glykind M Tablet at a fixed time every day. This will maintain the levels of medication in the blood.

Glykind M Tablet should be taken orally.

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless, which resolve on discontinuing Glykind M Tablet. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

Glykind M Tablet contains the following components:

Gliclazide (80 mg): It belongs to the class of sulfonylureas that causes your body to produce more insulin. Due to the release of increased insulin from the pancreas, the blood glucose level gets lowered.
Metformin (500 mg): It is a biguanide that decreases glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity in muscle and fat cells. The body can better use insulin to transport glucose into cells, reducing blood sugar levels. It also helps to lower the amount of glucose absorbed from the gut.

Pregnancy

The Glykind M Tablet is not indicated during pregnancy. Consult your doctor for any queries

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding women are not recommended to take Glykind M Tablet. It can pass into the nursing infant through breast milk. Before taking this tablet while breastfeeding, it is recommended to consult a doctor.

Alcohol

Intake of alcohol while taking Glykind M Tablet may lead to hypoglycemia. Consult your doctor before use.

Liver

Using Machines & Driving

If you are taking Glykind M Tablet with other medications, it can cause low blood sugar levels. If you feel dizzy, weak, have increased sweating, have a fast heartbeat, and have vision disorders, do not use the machine or drive.

Allergy

If you are allergic to Glykind M Tablet, gliclazide, metformin, or any of its constituents. Do not take it. To avoid allergic reactions, read the label and check the ingredients.

Children

Older Patients

Drug-Drug Interactions

Glykind M Tablet can interact with diseases, including:

Heart diseases: Patients with heart failure are more at risk of hypoxia. Therefore, regular monitoring of heart function is required while taking this tablet.
Severe kidney impairment: This tablet is excreted via the kidney. If you have reduced kidney function, your doctor may need to adjust the dosage of this tablet.
Liver disease: This tablet may cause abnormal liver function tests or liver disease such as hepatitis.
Lactic acidosis: This tablet may cause lactic acidosis as a side effect and worsen the existing condition.

Daily Dose

The recommended dose of Glykind M Tablet should be as per the prescription given to you by your doctor. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as the severity of the condition and response to treatment. Over Dose
