Lumigan 0.01% Eye Drops belong to the prostaglandin analogs class of medications. These eye drops are used to reduce high intraocular pressure in individuals with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
If you wear contact lenses, refrain from wearing them during the course of this medication. You can put your contact lenses back approximately 15 minutes after applying the eye drops.
Before using these eye drops, tell your doctor if you've had any eye surgery (like cataract surgery) as a precaution. Also, inform your doctor if you have eye infections or any underlying heart conditions, such as low blood pressure or a slow heart rate. This way, your doctor can make the best recommendations for your eye care.
