Stolin Gum Astringent 15 ml is part of a group of drugs called "antiseptics," which are used to treat gum problems like swollen, bleeding, spongy, or lost gums. They are also used to clean the mouth. Besides this, Stolin Gum Astringent 15 ml can be used to treat mouth ulcers, pyorrhoea, gingivitis, or vincent's disease (dirty grey ulceration of the mucus membranes). Besides Tannic acid, zinc chloride, and Cetrimide, Stolin Gum Astringent 15 ml is made up of three other medicines: Tannic acid, Zinc chloride (astringent), and Cetrimide (antiseptic). Tannic acid is an astringent and proteins that help to shrink skin cells, which helps to heal and lessen the pain caused by mouth ulcers. Zinc chloride is a haemostatic agent with astringent properties that stops bleeding and makes the skin stronger. Cetrimide is part of a group of antibacterials that work by stopping bacteria from growing in places where they could get into the mouth.
