Spironolactone (50 Mg)

Aldactone 50 tablet is a diuretic tablet used for heart failure and elevated blood pressure. Diuretics are also known as water pills and reduce blood pressure. These water pills help in removing excess salt and water from the body.

Unlike other diuretics, Aldactone 50 tablet does not eliminate potassium from the body through urine. It is potassium-sparing diuretic. Which is also helpful in the treatment of hypokalemia i.e. low potassium levels.

Physicians also prescribe Aldactone 50 tablet for patients who have excess aldosterone in the body. The aldosterone hormone secreted by the adrenal gland regulates salt and water balance in the body. Aldactone 50 tablet is a prescription drug and should be taken with consultation from a doctor.
